Who am I?
www.carelschouten.com home

Thank you for visiting my website Carelschouten.com! I have recently given this site a new look and I guess that means some words from the author would be appropriate. My name is Carel Schouten, and by seeing the Russian flags on my site you may conclude that I have a special relationship towards Russia. Well, I think that's pretty much the reason for starting this website in the first place. I have studied Slavic languages at the Amsterdam University. During and after my studies I have visited Russia numerous times for study courses and work, but also to spend time with my friends in the vastness and immense energy of this country.

A few months ago, after becoming a sworn translator of the Russian language, I began my own translation agency. By clicking "words" on my website you will find out which kinds of translations my agency currently offers. I recently started to work on a more professional appearance for my services. This pages will serve to inform you about my progress on this.

Besides being a translator I am also a visual artist. On this website I have tried to give you an overall picture of the way I work. You will also be able to check my recent exhibitions and availability information on my works.

For now, I hope to have sufficiently provided you with an outline of my recent activities. I hope to see you back some time or recieve your e-mail. Don't hesitate to send me your questions and remarks. When it comes to e-mail, I am considered a quick replier!
